December 2013, Denny Tedesco has been working for 17 yrs to get the film about the historic studio work done the group of musicians known as the Wrecking Crew. Denny’s dad Tommy Tedesco was a member of that group, as well has film participant Hal Blaine.

The project is nearing its final stage prior to the release of the DVD. They need last $250,000 to acquire the final rights to include all the music that is the core of the film. As an effort for this final step of support, Denny has started a kickstarter campaign - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wreckingcrew/the-wrecking-crew-doc-untold-story-of-rock-and-rol for the movie.

The campaign has just under two weeks left, and they are just past the half way point on the fund raising. Thank you gifts for the support of the project include copies of the DVD that is planned for release in late Q2, early Q3 of 2014, signed posters, hats and bowling shirts, never before released CD tracks, T-shirts, signed drum heads and much more. There are even options for being sponsors of songs in the movie.

For all those that have enjoyed the music from the start of rock and roll, here is an opportunity to participate in preserving the musical history of the group that among their honors includes:

The Wrecking Crew playing on the recordings of "Be My Baby" to "California Girls;" "Strangers in the Night" and "Mrs. Robinson;" "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin'" and "Up, Up and Away;""Viva Las Vegas" to "Mr. Tambourine Man,".
For six years in a row, the Grammy Award for "Record of the Year" was also recorded by Wrecking Crew members. These Gammy winning songs are:

• Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in 1966 for "A Taste of Honey"
• Frank Sinatra in 1967 for "Strangers in the Night"
• The 5th Dimension in 1968 for "Up, Up and Away"
• Simon & Garfunkel in 1969 for "Mrs. Robinson"
• The 5th Dimension in 1970 for "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" and
• Simon & Garfunkel in 1971 for "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

The Wrecking Crew film has also won multiple awards in screenings at film festivals.
As a friend and supporter of the film and Denny, we are pleased to be able to announce the efforts to complete the last stage of their long journey to bring this story to the world.
